Welcome to Church of the King - Sacramento

The members of Church of the King gather weekly to celebrate the gracious covenant renewal offered by the Triune God of the Scriptures. We would welcome any interested individuals, couples, or families to join us for the eleven o'clock worship service. Immediately after worship we gather for a fellowship meal to be enjoyed by all in attendance and we would be honored to have you join us for this time of Christian fellowship. At Church of the King we strive for Biblical worship which views the Lord's Day as the time when God meets with His people to renew His covenant with them. Covenant renewal is characterized by God's calling us to worship, a time for the confession of our sins and hearing of God's forgiveness based on the finished work of Christ on the cross and the new life in His resurrection, presenting our offerings, approaching the throne of grace in prayer and His teaching us from the Word of God. Finally, we feast together with our Lord at His Table and are commissioned to go forth and serve our risen savior and king throughout the week.

At Church of the King we strongly believe that Biblical worship is characterized by the wholehearted participation of the entire congregation with active and vigorous prayer and praise. We are a Pro-Life and Pro-Family Church that believes that all of our baptized children should participate in the covenant renewal worship services, including the Lord's Table on a weekly basis.

In sum, we strive to model our congregation after the earliest recorded local church in the Book of Acts where Luke tells us that "they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved." [Acts 2:41-47]

That young congregation and others that we learn about in the New Testament, went on to transform the powerful political and religious institutions of their day as they seriously carried out the Lord's great commission to "make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." We believe that the Lord uses His Church in the same way today and if you do not currently have a church home , or have not considered seriously the claims of Christ our Savior, we would welcome you to join us for any Lord's Day service.

Worship The Worship Service at Church of the King begins promptly at 11:00 am each Sunday. Pulpit supply is provided by Pastor John E. Stoos. We are currently worshipping at Eagles Hall in downtown Roseville at 204 Lincoln Street at the corner of Vernon Street. Driving Directions Worshippers are encouraged to gather at 10:30am for a brief time of music practice and instruction as we strive to better glorify God in our worship. Our Church fellowship feast follows immediately after the service each week and all are invited to attend and enjoy this meal and time of fellowship as our guests.
